Preparing a Khichdi-like mixture
  1. Add 2 cups each of 15 mins soaked Rice & Toor Dal to a Cooker
  2. Add all veggies, except onion & tomato. 
  3. Add 4 cups of water and wait for 3-4 cooker whistles
  4. Cover & cook until soft, and then let it boil for 10 minutes
For Garnishing
  1. Add a Garnishing of Fresh Coriander Leaves & roasted Cashews
  2. Further, you can add Boondi or Raita, & a little ghee as you like

Tempering the Masalas
  1. Take 3tbsp ghee in a pan, & roast cashews until golden & remove
  2. Add black mustard seeds (rai) in the ghee, and wait till it jumps
  3. Once it sputters, add 10-15 Currey Leaves & half tbsp haldi powder
  4. Add 1 chopped tomato, and remaining half of the Capsicum
  5. Saute lightly (don’t make it mushy), and add 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  6. Now add 1 cup water & then 2 tbsp AR Masale’s Sambar Masala
  7. Simmer for 2 minutes, then add the cooked khichdi-like mixture
  8. Adjust for consistency & add Cover & Simmer for 15 minutes
